Y'all, I can't even tell you how many barbers I've been through over the years. I have 17-year-old twin boys 👬🏾 with autism. 🧩One of my boys has severe behavioral issues, one of those being elopement. (runner)🏃🏾
Upon arrival to our first appointment with Jelly.. My son immediately took off running up and down the hallway looking at all the different suites then made his way upstairs and began running up and down that hallway as well. Keep in mind there are other businesses in this building. I was so nervous thinking that someone was going to say something and immediately Jelly reassured me that everything was fine and that the people in that building know the type of clients that she has and she wasn't concerned. She showed so much patience and understanding towards my son. She didn't get upset or frazzled due to his behavior. Not only was she able to finally get my son to a place where he would sit down in the chair and actually get his haircut. But she also made sure that I was good as the parent...and I really appreciated that. Unfortunately I'm used to people telling me they won't be able to service my son or they're not equipped to handle his level of behavior.
Jelly is the real deal. You can't teach compassion. You either have it or you don't.
Thank you for the service that you provide to parents of special needs children like me and everything that you do in the community!! 💙💙👬🏾🧩 - Aisha Atkinson··from Google
Miss Jelly has been Aries’ barber since he was just 4 years old, and I truly cannot say enough about the care, patience, and intentionality she brings to her work. From the very beginning, she recognized that Aries needed more than just a haircut—he needed understanding, flexibility, and trust.
As a neurodivergent child, haircuts were initially a very overwhelming experience for him. Miss Jelly approached every appointment with neurodiversity awareness, taking the time to learn his sensitivities, adjust her approach, and create a calm, supportive environment. She never rushed the process and always met him where he was.
Because of her consistency and compassion, I have watched Aries grow from being resistant and anxious about haircuts to now, at 8 years old, actually enjoying the experience. That transformation speaks volumes.
Miss Jelly is not just a barber—she is a true professional who leads with heart, patience, and expertise. Any family, especially those with children who need a little extra care, would be blessed to be in her chair. - Jennifer Winter··from Google

We had Jelly come to our clinic for our kiddos cuts- and she is the absolute best! Many parents who were unsure she would be able to give them a cut- but she did every single one without tears but laughter. I tell everyone I can about her and refer to her as “the child whisper goddess of haircuts.” She has a true gift that is patient, accepting, and full of love. Her spirit is so bright she shines and gives everyone an experience that will make a forever impact on your heart. We love you Jelly! 💙

Jelly at Peace & Love Studios is truly something special. What she creates goes so far beyond a haircut — it’s a safe, patient, and incredibly thoughtful experience for kids who need a little extra understanding.
After a tough experience elsewhere, we weren’t sure how our child would handle another haircut. Jelly met them exactly where they were, never rushed, and built trust step by step. The way she introduces tools, gives space when needed, and keeps everything calm and positive is something you just don’t find everywhere.
You don’t realize how needed something like this is until you’re in that position — and having someone like Jelly makes all the difference. If you have a child with sensory sensitivities or anxiety around haircuts, this is the place. We are so, so grateful. - K S··from Google
Jelly is truly extraordinary. Her patience, kindness, and remarkable techniques with children who have sensory sensitivities make such a meaningful difference for families. She doesn’t just provide haircuts—Jelly builds trust, forms real connections, and creates an environment where children feel safe, understood, and supported.
Her ability to adapt to each child’s individual needs shows a deep level of compassion and expertise. Watching Jelly work is inspiring, and the confidence she helps build in these children is priceless. - I B··from Google
Jelly has been a godsend to our family. Our son has grown so much in his haircut journey and we can't thank her enough! We never thought it was possible. When she sends updates, she is very transparent with what is going on and what needs to be done. It's something that has helped us understand where our son is at and where he is going. We have always felt like she was team Aziel from the beginning of his journey! She is so caring & loving to her kiddos, very knowledgeable --- we see it first hand. She's a true blessing! Make sure to check her out!
